Anterior cruciate ligament of the knee is one of the main ligamentous structures which have stabilized joint. If untreated, it can cause many problems. Many operative treatments are used such as primary repair, autogenous-tendon graft and artificial ligament reconstruction, bu there are many controversies. From January 1990 to July 1993, we treated 29 patients using woven polyester graft(Leeds_Keio prosthesis). 20 cases were studied for 24 months longer, and average follow-up period was 32 months(Maximum 50 months, Minimum 24 months). We evaluated the stability and symptoms by radiologically and clinically(Lysholm knee scoring scale), obtained satisfatory results in 16 cases.
